MXM Parallel Line Mixer

Product Description

Connecting two or more multi-effects units together in serial is a great way to noticeably degrade your signal. A better way is process the multieffects units in parallel using a line mixer. The MXM is an easy to use line mixer equipped with two stereo loops that are controlled via MIDI. The signals from the multieffects units are buffered in order to avoid degradation and then are coupled in parallel. Then the guitarist has the ability to regulate the various signal levels of the dry and the two wet channels to suit their needs. The MXM contains two midi controllable AUX1 and AUX2 contacts that can be used for switching channel in a non-MIDI amplifier or for loop/routing purposes.

Features and Technical Specifications

  • On the front panel are controls for Dry signal, Wet1 loop, Wet2 loop and Volume. Dry , Wet1 and Wet2 signals can be inserted or disconnected via MIDI and the status is indicated by a LED near the corresponding control
  • A very useful feature is now added to the MXM: AUX1 and AUX2 connections, and their status is indicated by two LEDs on the front panel
  • On the rear panel we can find the following connectors: input (mono), send1 (mono), send2 (mono), return1 left, return1 right, return 2 left, return2 right, out left, out right, Aux1, Aux2, MIDI thru, MIDI in, lift switch, fuse socket and IEC plug for power supply.
  • Send1 and send 2 signals are isolated and buffered with a Black Box style circuit. Input impedance is 47Kohm and out impedance is less than 500 ohm. Bandwidth is from 20Hz to 150KHz. THD is <0.01%, noise floor is les than –60dB, level acceptance is up to 10V peak to peak
